Ed Lauter, a well known character actor, caused a scene outside of the Chateau Marmont recently, when he was trying to drive home after a Golden Globes party. He obviously had a bit too much to drink that evening, so a responsible security guard intervened and stopped him from getting behind the wheel. The security guard instructed the star to take a cab home and Mr. Lauter was none to pleased with this idea. After a verbal confrontation, Mr. Lauter then took a cab home.
